CONSUMO DE CÁLCIO E VITAMINA D EM PRÉ-ESCOLARES

O objetivo deste estudo foi avaliar o consumo de cálcio e
vitamina D entre pré-escolares e verificar a adequação da
ingestão às recomendações. Foi um estudo transversal
realizado com 149 pré-escolares entre 2 e 6 anos de idade, de
escolas municipais, no interior do Rio Grande do Sul. A
coleta de dados ocorreu em 2012. A ingestão alimentar foi
avaliada durante dois dias consecutivos, através de registro
alimentar realizado pelo pesquisador na escola e pelos
responsáveis no período em que as crianças estavam em
suas residências. Observou-se que no grupo de crianças de 2
a 3 anos o consumo de cálcio apresentou-se
significativamente superior (p ≤ 0,01) em relação às
recomendações, enquanto que no grupo de 4 a 6 anos
apresentou um consumo significativamente inferior ao
recomendado (p ≤ 0,01). Em relação a Vitamina D
observou-se que ambos os grupos apresentaram um
consumo significativamente inferior ao recomendado (p ≤
0,01). Conclui-se que as crianças de 4 a 6 anos apresentam
um consumo de Vitamina D e cálcio abaixo do recomendado,
enquanto que as de 2 a 3 anos apresentaram apenas a
ingestão de Vitamina D abaixo do recomendado.
