Submission Preparation Checklist

As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.
  • Manuscripts approved by Revista Uningá have a publication fee of R$80.00 per article. It is worth mentioning that the charge is only made after approval for publication, in order to make it clear that this initiative has nothing to do with the evaluation of submissions, which will follow its normal procedure.
  • The contribution must be original and unpublished and the article is not under review for publication in another journal. If, by chance, it already appears in another journal, you must explain why in "Comments to the editor".
  • URLs for references will be provided when it is possible.
  • The text follows the style standards and bibliographic requirements described in Guidelines for Authors on the "About the Journal" page.
  • It is mandatory to send a document containing the identification of the authors: name, affiliation and e-mail of the corresponding author.
  • The journal adopted bilingual publication (Portuguese and English) in 2020. Thus, papers can be submitted in Portuguese or English, with adequate vernacular quality. After the article review process, if approved, the authors must send the English version, together with the translation statement, in addition to correcting the abstract. Articles submitted in English, after approval, must be reviewed by a professional in the field that issue a certificate.

Author Guidelines

Articles must be submitted electronically through the Open Journal Systems (OJS) platform upon registration of the author.

Once registered, the author(s) can access and submit the text to the Editorial Board, intending to publicate it. Only one text at a time should be submitted for publication.

The editorial process can be followed only by the author when accessing the system. Also, the entire editorial process is confidential.

The work submitted for publication in Uningá Journal must have the following configurations:

  • Be original and unpublished.
  • Have up to eight authors.
  • Be written in Portuguese or English, containing between 8 and 20 pages.
  • Include the title in Portuguese and in English.
  • Write the name of all authors, the emails and the respective affiliations, and which one is the corresponding author. All the data about the professor advisor should also be included.
  • Include one abstract in Portuguese and one in English (from 150 to 250 words each) before the beginning of the text, one in Portuguese and the other in English.
  • After the abstracts, linearly include between three and five keywords in Portuguese and also in English.
  • The manuscript must be presented in A4 sheet format, edited in Word or similar software, with single spacing (1.0), with right, left, top and bottom margins of 3 cm, font Times New Roman, size 12.
  • Do not include notes in the text.
  • Citations and references must follow American Psychological Association (APA) standard.
