A ATUAÇÃO DO PSICÓLOGO NA ÁREA DA PSICO-ONCOLOGIA PEDIÁTRICA: UMA REVISÃO SISTEMATIZADA

Resumen

O presente artigo visa apresentar uma revisão sistematizada da literatura científica a respeito da prática do Psicólogo no campo da Psico-Oncologia Pediátrica, considerando esta como uma área de interface entre a oncologia e a psicologia. Após um breve resgate histórico de como essa área de atuação se consolidou, a pesquisa foi realizada na base SciELO (Scientific Electonic Library Online), utilizando como critério de inclusão os artigos com estudos teóricos qualitativos, excluindo as fontes com teor quantitativo e aqueles referenciais publicados com duplicidade em mais de uma base de pesquisa. Os artigos selecionados foram revisados com os objetivos de analisar a prática do psicólogo na psico-oncologia pediátrica e o de identificar os desafios a serem superados. Os resultados indicaram que a literatura científica descreve a prática do psico-oncologista na pediatria de forma semelhante à prática do psicólogo hospitalar, deixando de destacar as possíveis diferenças entre essas especialidades. Como considerações finais, aponta-se a necessidade do aprofundamento de mais pesquisas nessa área.
