AVALIAÇÃO DA CONDIÇÃO PERIODONTAL DE PACIENTES USUÁRIOS DE PRÓTESE PARCIAL FIXA DA CLÍNICA ODONTOLÓGICA DA UFCG
Resumen
Tendo em vista a intensa relação entre periodontia e prótese,
a pesquisa aqui proposta tem como principal objetivo
avaliar a condição periodontal dos pacientes usuários de
prótese parcial fixa da clínica odontológica da Universidade
Federal de Campina Grande. A população do estudo foi
composta por pacientes reabilitados com prótese parcial
fixa unitária, a partir de 2012, na clínica odontológica da
UFCG. Os dados coletados no exame clínico foram: índice
de placa, índice gengival, profundidade de sondagem e
exame radiográfico. As informações foram registradas no
Excel e analisadas por estatística descritiva. Dos pacientes
examinados, em quatro foi observado o insucesso da prótese;
e treze pacientes foram submetidos ao exame clínico.
Obteve-se um total de quinze próteses fixas unitárias, todas
do tipo metalocerâmica; no índice periodontal simplificado
61,5% dos pacientes apresentaram condição periodontal 2,
que indica presença de cálculo sem existência de bolsa; na
sondagem periodontal do elemento pilar os maiores valores
encontrados foram para as faces proximais; nos achados
radiográficos apenas um paciente apresentou reabsorção
óssea. Concluiu-se que apesar de todos os pacientes apresentarem
inflamação gengival, as próteses apresentavam-se
satisfatórias.
