CRITÉRIOS UTILIZADOS PARA ESCOLHA DA ESCOVA DENTAL: PESQUISA COM ALUNOS DE UM COLÉGIO PÚBLICO DE JUSSARA – PR
Resumen
A escova dental é atualmente a técnica de higiene bucal
mais utilizada no mundo, além de ser um método barato e
prático, é o mais eficiente, e ainda melhor quando associado
a um dentifrício. É responsável pela eliminação de bactérias
e outros micro organismos capazes de causar alterações
na cavidade bucal. O objetivo desta pesquisa foi observar
o tempo de troca das escovas e os critérios que alunos
de um colégio público da cidade de Jussara – PR utilizam
para escolher e comprar sua escova dental. Foram
entrevistados 108 alunos, sendo 58 meninas e 50 meninos.
Os resultados mostraram que a troca da escova pela maioria
é de três meses, e o critério mais utilizado foi a indicação
do cirurgião-dentista, sendo que a maioria relatou ir
periodicamente ao dentista e que a seleção da escova dental
foi influenciada pela mídia e pelo preço. Concluiu-se então
que, a maioria dos jovens frequentam o dentista, fazem a
troca periódica da escova dental, mas a mídia ainda é a
responsável pela escolha da mesma.
