Abstract

Today’s world is marked up by the advances in technology. The information and communication technology have played an important role in people’s life. There is availability of a great variety of electronic devices and places where internet can be accessed. Nowadays we have groundbreaking resources on educational and social practices and in the relationship with the society, inasmuch as technology is an evolution of the methods of communication and information that are faster and more accessible. Therefore, we can see the importance of the use of technology attached to educational institutes in the process of transformation that molds the modern world, among others, by the impact in the educational process. The goal of this work was to do a literature research comprehending how the technologic resources can perform as a facilitator tool in the teaching and learning process for the biology subject. This study was done based on lookups at scientific articles, online searches on platforms focused on available technologies and how the teaching of biology can be improved by the use of them in nowadays methodologies. According to these researches, it is possible to draw a conclusion the new technologies tend to enrich and improve teaching methodologies, as well as facilitate the learning process, mainly in biology, however a lot of aspects related to these technologies still need to be polished up to reach a reasonable result.
