AVALIAÇÃO DO COMPORTAMENTO MECÂNICO E SUPERFICIAL DOS FIOS DE NIQUEL-TITÂNIO NA MECÂNICA ORTODÔNTICA: REVISÃO DE LITERATURA
Abstract
Objetivo: Este trabalho tem como objetivo realizar uma
revisão sistemática de literatura, quanto as propriedades
mecânicas e superficiais dos fios de Niquel-Tinânio (NiTi).
Metodologia: Foi realizado uma estratégia de busca em três
fases, na qual, se tratava de uma busca inicial, avaliando a
qualidade dos trabalhos, depois foi realizado uma busca
sistemática, na base de dado PubMed no período
compreendido de 1986 a 2015, com os seguintes descritores
"Orthodontic Wires”, "Tensile Strength", "Friction",
"Surface Properties", e por fim foi efetuado uma busca
manual, que compreendia a retirada de trabalhos que não
satisfaziam os critérios sugeridos para aceitação nessa
revisão. Resultados: Foi encontrado um total de 894
artigos, após aplicação do método de busca, e após leitura e
compreensão dos textos apenas 29 trabalhos foram
utilizados e 865 foram excluídos. Conclusão: A rugosidade
de superfície é capaz de interferir no atrito. Já a deflexão
ocasionada durante a mecânica ortodôntica pode ser capaz
de facilitar a degradação do arco ortodôntico e promover
aumento da rugosidade de superfície e consequentemente
do atrito.
