Abstract

The low-voltage electrical panels are essential for the distribution and protection of electrical circuits, in industry or residence. In these environments security measures should be adopted to guarantee the full operation of electrical equipment. A single failure such as internal short circuit in the electrical panel, can cause serious damage to electrical installations or even serious accidents as death people who are directly or indirectly exposed to the panels installation.

Due to increased absenteeism in companies and industries for reasons of electrical accidents, this article aims to identify the places where these accidents occur, the economic impact that these accidents generate and adopt security measures that can minimize these accidents. And the purpose of this study to reduce accidents is the use of low-voltage electrical panels that follow the standards IEC 60439-1/3. This panels is also known as TTA / PPTA type panels.
