TEMPORAL ANALYSIS OF MICROTEXTURE IN URBAN PAVEMENTS WITH TSD COATING WITH SEALANT LAYER IN THE CITY OF SINOP/MT

The microtexture analysis in urban pavements, depending on their age, to wear checks, presents interesting when it comes to losses reduction caused by traffic accidents, even if the human causal factors are those that prevail in number, improving the friction between tire and pavement causes a general reduction in these damages. Microtexture tests where performed in ten sections of pavements with TSD coating with sealing cover, built by the same company, with different years of execution, with low and similar traffic, and absent of any intervention, using the British Pendulum Tester. In this project, also it was determined the International Friction Index – IFI using the data of microtexture and macrotexture. The values found for microtexture, which has a high variation, from 4 to 37 BPN, and IFI, which has no variations, shows that the analyzed pavements do not have good friction nor a good grip, and its reduction, noticed in older sections, it indicates that there is a low wear over time.
