Abstract

A pele pode apresentar importantes sinais que revelam aexistência de neoplasias internas.Por meio de lesões cutâ-neas, podem-se detectar tumores em estágios iniciais, o quealtera o prognóstico da doença e o seu tratamento.As me-tástases cutâneas apresentam a mesma distribuição porsexo que as lesões primárias, sendo que as metástases maisfrequentes são as procedentes de câncer de mamaem mu-lheres e de pulmão nos homens. Nos pacientes com antece-dentes de neoplasia internas, é importante fazer o diagnós-tico diferencial entre metástases cutâneas e lesões cutâneas.Desse modo, o objetivo deste trabalho é revisar na literatu-ra médica as características das metástases cutâneas quepodem orientar o profissional de saúde na investigação deneoplasias, antes mesmo de se manifestarem em seu órgãode origem.
