Abstract

Relatar um caso de uma mulher ( 81 anos ) , apresentando sint omas de alteração da dismotilidade gastrointestinal e arritmia cardíaca há 10 anos. Posteriormente diagnosticada com doença de Chagas, tendo como uma das complicações megacólon chagásico, evoluindo colostomia definitiva. Ressaltamos a importância do contro le e medidas preventivas para a doença, evitando assim um número maior de pessoas infectadas e atribuindo melhor qualidade de vida para a população.
