MASTITE PUERPERAL CONCOMITANTE AO IMPETIGO EM RECÉM-NASCIDO: RELATO DE DOIS CASOS
Abstract
A mastite puerperal é um processo inflamatório que pode
tornar-se infeccioso nas glândulas mamárias acometendo
mulheres na fase de amamentação. Quando infecciosa, tem
como principal agente etiológico Staphylococcus aureus. Já
o impetigo, infecção bacteriana cutânea na região
intradérmica mais comum na pediatria, tem como
principais agentes etiológicos S. aureus e o Streptococcus
pyogenes. O objetivo foi relatar dois caso de infecções
puerperal relacionados ao mesmo agente, tanto na mãe
como no recém-nascido. Ambos pacientes foram admitidos e
internados em um hospital na região noroeste do Paraná. Na
ocasião, o impetigo no recém-nascido teve rápida resolução
após terapêutica antimicrobiana, enquanto a mastite
puerperal apresentou complicação e formação de abscesso e
necessidade de drenagem cirúrgica, mesmo na vigência de
antibioticoterapia. Concluiu-se que a bactéria em questão,
apresentava resistência aos antibióticos utilizados
inicialmente, porém a melhora clínica, laboratorial e
posteriormente cura da puérpera, deu-se após a drenagem
cirúrgica e antimicrobianos sensíveis ao antibiograma
