EVOLUÇÃO DOS DISPOSITIVOS USADOS NA INTERVENÇÃO CORONARIANA PERCUTÂNEA
Abstract
A intervenção coronariana percutânea (ICP) para o
tratamento da doença arterial coronariana (DAC) se
expandiu de forma acentuada nas últimas décadas
tornando-se o método mais utilizado para revascularização
do miocárdio. Os avanços tecnológicos dos instrumentais
utilizados contribuíram para esta expansão, porém as
ICPs, cursam com taxas variadas de um processo
proliferativo chamado reestenose que leva a uma obstrução
no local tratado perdendo o benefício inicial do
procedimento. O advento dos Stents Farmacológicos
representou um grande marco na cardiologia
intervencionista por ser eficaz ao combater a reestenose
coronariana porém, estes dispositivos podem cursar com
um risco aumentado de trombose tardia. É um evento raro
porém de evolução em alguns casos fatais.
