TÉCNICA DE FRENOTOMIA PARA CORREÇÃO DE FREIO LABIAL SUPERIOR EM ODONTOPEDIATRIA

Abstract

O freio labial superior pode apresentar variações na forma,
tamanho e posição. Um freio espesso pode estar associado a
um diastema mediano e pode interferir na escovação e fonação.
A correção do freio pode ser realizada através da frenectomia,
que consiste na remoção total ou parcial do freio ou da frenotomia,
que consiste na reposição apical do freio. Este trabalho
apresenta o caso clínico de um paciente de 8 anos, gênero feminino
e que devido ao freio espesso e presença de diastema foi
submetida a técnica de frenotomia por ser uma cirurgia menos
invasiva e com menor tempo operatório.
