ALEITAMENTO MATERNO NA PREVENÇÃO DO CÂNCER DE MAMA: UMA REVISÃO INTEGRATIVA DA LITERATURA

Objetivou-se analisar as produções científicas acerca do aleitamento materno como fator de proteção para o câncer de mama. Trata-se de uma revisão integrativa da literatura realizada nos bancos de dados Scielo, no PubMed, Lilacs e Biblioteca Virtual em Saúde (BVS). A busca permitiu a análise dos dados de 7 artigos para o objeto da pesquisa, concluindo que, de fato, há associação protetora da amamentação para o câncer de mama, mas que isso vai depender da duração, frequência e exclusividade do aleitamento.
