AVALIAÇÃO DA QUALIDADE DE VIDA E SOBRECARGA DE TRABALHO DE CUIDADORES DE ADOLESCENTES COM TRANSTORNO DE ESPECTRO AUTISTA: ESTUDO EXPLORATÓRIO

Abstract

Objetivo: Avaliar a qualidade de vida e a sobrecarga de
trabalho de cuidadores de adolescentes de 10 a 19 anos de
idade com deficiência intelectual. Metodologia: Estudo
descritivo de corte transversal. Obteve-se uma amostra de 41
cuidadores de adolescentes com deficiência, no período de
maio a junho de 2013. Utilizaram-se os instrumentos The
World Health Organization Quality, versão abreviada na avaliação
da QW e ZaritBurden Interview Squale para avaliação
da sobrecarga de trabalho. Os dados foram tratados por meio
de estatística descritiva e com aplicação do teste Qui-quadrado
de Pearson e teste Exato de Fisher. Foram analisados os dados
no programa estatístico Statistical Package for Social Science,
versão 17.0, com nível de significância p <0,05. Resultados: A
amostra, em sua maioria, eram mulheres (95,1%) e mães
(82,9%), ainda que relataram uma menor qualidade de vida no
domínio do ambiente, seguidos pelos domínios psicológico,
físico e social. A mãe apresentou menor percepção da
qualidade de vida também no domínio psicológico (p = 0,018).
Conclusão: Pelos resultados obtidos, pode-se concluir da
necessidade da presença do pai junto à família, da
profissionalização dos cuidadores e do subsídio do estado para
a melhoria da qualidade de vida
