O ENFOQUE AMBIENTAL DE TEXTOS PRESENTES EM LIVROS DIDÁTICOS DE QUÍMICA E BIOLOGIA NO ENSINO MÉDIO

Este trabalho teve como objetivo analisar e comparar as leituras presentes ao final dos
capítulos de livros do Ensino Médio de Biologia e Química, com a finalidade de verificar
quanto ao enfoque ambiental dado nestes textos, se há uma relação dos temas abordados
nas duas disciplinas e se estas leituras podem criar condições favoráveis de uma educação
ambiental. No livro de Biologia foram encontradas cinco leituras relacionadas a esta
temática e no de química 13 leituras. As leituras no livro de Biologia são sempre extraídas
de revistas científicas ou de divulgação científica, já as do livro de Química não fazem
menção a nenhuma fonte. Na análise dessas leituras, observa-se a presença de textos com
caráter muito mais informativo do que questionador. Em ambos os textos existe um
discurso que ressalta o impacto das atividades humanas sobre o ambiente e nos textos de
química uma preocupação em associar as fórmulas/estruturas químicas aos compostos
responsáveis pelos problemas ambientais. Outra observação diz respeito à falta de
correlação entre as temáticas abordadas nas duas disciplinas, uma vez que temas com
enfoque ambiental podem ser tratados, nas mais diversas áreas.
