This study aims to comprehend the new forms of communication, relationship and computerization verified in the modern society via social media. It discusses “post-modernity” as per defined by Lyotard, as well as the society in the era of information and communication which acts arduously to inform its members, creating a new distinct form of relationship – networked – that allows one to interact with others instantly and simultaneously, as if they were at the same place. Some negative consequences from this process is also demonstrated in this study, such as the bonds vulnerability in this new scenario, its flexibility and, consequently, the decay in such relationships.
