BIODIVERSIDADE E A INDÚSTRIA DE COSMÉTICOS: O USO DOS FLAVONOIDES CONTRA O ENVELHECIMENTO CUTÂNEO
Abstract
O uso de plantas medicinais como tratamento e cura em
certas patologias vem sendo de suma importância para o
elenco de medicamentos utilizados pela humanidade ao
longo dos anos. Flavonoides são metabolitos secundários
com capacidade de sequestro de radicais livres, o que promove
ação antioxidante. Esse trabalho teve como objetivo
avaliar o impacto do uso de flavonoides em formulações
cosméticas, em produtos indicados para a prevenção do
envelhecimento cutâneo.
