VARIAÇÃO MORFOLÓGICA DE SEGUNDO MOLAR SUPERIOR COM DUAS RAIZES PALATINAS: RELATO DE CASO
Abstract
Para que ocorra o sucesso do tratamento endodôntico, o
conhecimento profundo sobre o sistema de canais radiculares,
bem como de qualquer probabilidade de variações
destes deve ser considerada. O Segundo molar superior,
tradicionalmente apresenta três raízes, com três ou quatro
canais, sendo que o quarto canal, quando evidenciado,
apresenta-se na raiz mesio vestibular. A incidência de uma
segunda raiz palatina no segundo molar superior é muito
rara, sendo relatada na literatura uma frequência de
0,4-2% dos casos observados. Este relato de caso descreveo
tratamento de um segundo molar superior com quatro raízes
sendo duas raízes palatinas distintas.
