Abstract

Este estudo visou analisar a recuperação da dependência
química em pacientes do Centro de Recuperação Casa do
Oleiro (CERCO) – casa de reabilitação que utiliza meios
religiosos para obter seus objetivos. Foram realizadas entrevistas
com quatro internos, com o intuito de levantar
informações acerca do consumo de drogas e da reabilitação.
Dessa forma, relatamos o que cada um narrou sobre o início
do uso de substâncias psicoativas, bem como a sequência
de uso e a justificativa da continuidade; o relacionamento
com a família em cada fase; o tempo e os sintomas
de abstinência; as recaídas e os motivos da mesma; assim
como o papel da religiosidade na sua recuperação. Os resultados
foram confrontados com artigos científicos e livros
na área, visando justificar os achados.
