Acidentes por escorpiões no estado de São Paulo: uma abordagem sócio-demográfica

Os acidentes escorpiônicos são freqüentes no Estado de São
Paulo. Objetivou-se caracterizar os acidentes escorpiônicos no Estado de
São Paulo, no período entre 1988 a 2002, correlacionando as regiões
onde estes ocorreram com o IPRS das mesmas. Os dados mostraram que
a distribuição espacial dos acidentes revelou a maior ocorrência destes
em municípios de IPRS elevado. Conclui-se que o processo de
desenvolvimento dos municípios tem se realizado com base na exclusão
social.
