Em busca de novos horizontes: a inserção do fisioterapeuta na atenção primária

Esse artigo apresenta os novos rumos da saúde no Brasil. Buscamos traçar um debate a
partir de uma perspectiva histórico-dialética de construção do Sistema Único de Saúde.
Procuramos mostrar o nascimento da medicina social, os sistemas de saúde existentes
no Brasil anteriores ao SUS, até o momento em que profissionais da saúde, como o
fisioterapeuta, que se preocupava apenas com a reabilitação, passam a atuar na Atenção
Primária, como promotor de saúde. Apresentamos, também, as novas propostas de
mudanças nas diretrizes dos cursos de graduação de Fisioterapia, amparados pelo
Código de Ética Profissional.
