TRANSTORNO DE PERSONALIDADE ANTISSOCIAL E SERIAL KILLERS: UMA REVISÃO DA PRODUÇÃO ACADÊMICA (2007-2017)

Objetivou-se investigar na produção da literatura
acadêmica brasileira, nos últimos dez anos, as relações
entre Transtorno de Personalidade Antissocial e
assassinos em série. Para desenvolvimento da pesquisa,
utilizou-se o método bibliográfico. Nos bancos de dados
BDTD e SCIELO, durante o período de 2007 a 2017,
foram buscadas as palavras-chave: Serial Killer,
assassinos em série, homicidas em série, Transtorno de
Personalidade Antissocial, Psicopata e outras derivações.
Entre os trabalhos, os resultados indicam que as
principais características desse transtorno são: falta de
empatia, alta propensão ao tédio, hostilidade, perversão,
frieza emocional, manipulação e egocentrismo. A maioria
das pesquisas empíricas utilizaram a escala Psychopathy
Checklist Revised (PCL-R) para avaliar o grau dessa
patologia. A etiologia da psicopatia é relacionada a causas
ambientais ou orgânicas. Os trabalhos relacionam ainda o
transtorno com a criminalidade. Conclui-se a existência
de poucos trabalhos que relacionam serial killers e
Transtorno de Personalidade Antissocial, uma vez que a
maioria dos estudos brasileiros associam psicopatia e
criminalidade e não especialmente a homicidas em séries.
