Avaliação dos hábitos alimentares de crianças matriculadas em uma escola estadual no município de Montes Claros, Minas Gerais

Este trabalho objetiva avaliar hábitos alimentares das crianças em
idade escolar matriculados numa escola estadual localizada no município de
Montes Claros/MG. Trata-se de estudo quantitativo, descritivo e transversal. O
universo da pesquisa foi constituído por 219 alunos matriculados e frequentes na
escola selecionada. Para coleta dos dados, utilizou-se questionário estruturado e
as informações foram analisadas embasadas na pirâmide alimentar brasileira.
Encontrou-se que 43,84% das crianças consomem por dia uma unidade/fatia de
frutas; 56,16% consomem 3 ou menos colheres de sopa/dia de legumes e
verduras e 77,17% consume duas ou mais colheres de sopa/dia de leguminosas.
A maioria das crianças consume uma fatia de carne por dia e retiram as gorduras
aparente das mesmas; 57,9% utilizam de 2 a 4 colheres de arroz/dia; o leite mais
utilizado é o integral com quantidade de dois copos/dia; o óleo vegetal é o mais
utilizado para preparo das refeições e as crianças não adicionam sal aos
alimentos prontos. Doces, frituras, refrigerantes e embutidos são consumidos
pela maioria de duas a três vezes/semana; o lanche da manhã e a ceia foram as
refeições mais omitidas. Embora observado adoção de alguns hábitos saudáveis,
ainda existem equívocos quantitativos e qualitativos relacionados a uma
alimentação equilibrada.
