Abstract

O osteoblastoma é um neoplasma benigno, raramente encontrado nos ossos
maxilares. Clinicamente possui rápido crescimento e suas principais características são
a dor e o edema, em geral, localizados na própria lesão. As características radiográficas
são variáveis, normalmente consistindo de uma combinação de radioluscência e
radiopacidade. O osteoblastoma em mandíbula faz uma série de diagnósticos
diferenciais com outras lesões, sendo o exame histopatológico importante para chegar
ao correto diagnóstico. Este estudo relata um caso de osteoblastoma em região direita
de corpo mandibular em paciente sexo feminino, 26 anos, e aborda, com base na revisão
de literatura, as principais características da lesão, possíveis diagnósticos diferenciais e
tratamento.
