Uso de mini-implantes na ortodontia

Os mini-implantes surgiram com o objetivo de buscar
métodos de ancoragem intrabucal independentes da colaboração do
paciente, e por apresentarem tamanho reduzido, possibilitam sua
instalação inclusive entre raízes dentárias, viabilizando assim seu uso em
múltiplas situações clínicas. Com objetivo de demonstrar os benefícios
que a utilização dos mini-implantes introduzem a prática ortodôntica, este
trabalho analisou um caso clínico para a instalação do mini-implante com
criterioso planejamento ortodôntico individualizado. Assim sendo, este
estudo concluiu que tomadas às devidas precauções, os mini-implantes
são uma forma segura de garantir uma ancoragem ortodôntica confiável.
