Fibrodisplasia ossificante progressiva: relato de caso

A fibrodisplasia ossificante progressiva é uma doença rara que
afeta os tecidos de origem conjuntiva, principalmente músculos e
articulações. Caracteriza-se por ossificações inespecíficas, o que resulta na
limitação de movimentos, podendo até mesmo levar a alterações
respiratórias pelo comprometimento da musculatura intercostal. Este artigo
relata um caso dessa doença com envolvimento maxilo-facial e a conduta
adotada, embasado numa breve revisão de literatura.
