Displasia dentinária: um relato de caso

As anomalias de desenvolvimento dos dentes, como a displasia dentinária,
podem ser observadas durante os exames clínicos e radiográficos em alguns pacientes.
Este raro distúrbio hereditário de dentina é caracterizado pelo encurtamento das raízes
dos dentes e presença de constrições cônicas apicais, excessivo crescimento da dentina
na câmara pulpar conduzindo à redução da polpa na dentição permanente e total
obliteração pulpar na dentição decídua. Este relato de caso descreve uma paciente de 16
anos de idade com encurtamento e má-formação generalizada das raízes dentárias, com
apenas um dente apresentando um resquício de câmara pulpar, também foi observada
imagem radiolúcida periapical associada a um canino superior. Constatou-se a
necessidade de tratamento multidisciplinar com o intuito de obter estética, função,
proteger e recuperar a estrutura dentária.
