Distúrbios osteomusculares relacionados ao trabalho: prejuízo social para os cirurgiões-dentistas

O avanço tecnológico na área odontológica vem permitindo a
conquista de novos instrumentos e técnicas que simplifica o trabalho dos
Cirurgiões-Dentistas (CDs), entretanto deixa em segundo plano a relação
da postura no trabalho diário, ocasionando, na maioria das vezes,
problemas de saúde que interferem na atuação clínica favorecendo o
surgimento de distúrbios osteomusculares relacionados ao trabalho
(DORTs). Os estudos indicam que os sintomas desenvolvidos devido essa
enfermidade têm se mostrado superiores em CDs. Esse fato tem levado a
um prejuízo social na vida desses trabalhadores repercutindo na sua
qualidade de vida além de ser um dos principais motivos de absenteísmo
e encerramento prematuro da carreira profissional.
