INTRUSÃO DE MOLARES SUPERIORES COM ANCORAGEM EM MINI-IMPLANTES

A perda de dentes posteriores pode ter como consequência a extrusão dos antagonistas acarretando problemas periodontais e interferências oclusais. As extrusões dentárias são de difícil correção e por isso recomenda-se fazer uma ancoragem esquelética que proporcione um adequado controle de forças, tanto em magnitude quanto em direção para a intrusão desse dente no rebordo alveolar. A ancoragem absoluta com mini-implantes viabiliza a intrusão de dentes posteriores, minimizando os efeitos colaterais em dentes adjacentes. Contudo os mini-implantes devem ser utilizados com cautela desde o momento da sua instalação, aplicação de forças e movimentação do dente a ser intruído. O presente trabalho relata um caso clínico com perdas dos molares inferiores, extrusão bilateral dos molares superiores e o tratamento de intrusão de molares utilizando mini-implantes como ancoragem absoluta.
