Este trabalho tem como objetivo identificar e analisar as taxas de infecção
hospitalar por pneumonia relacionada à ventilação mecânica, comparando os métodos
de desinfecção de alto nível e esterilização por óxido de etileno. Analisando estes
métodos, notou-se uma diferença significante entre a desinfecção de alto nível e a
esterilização por óxido de etileno. Percebeu-se uma notável diferença a partir do mês em
que se iniciou a esterilização por óxido de etileno.
