Abstract

O presente trabalho tem por objetivo descrever o processo de
morte e morrer levantando as necessidades do paciente frente à doença
em fase terminal e morte. Sendo responsabilidade do enfermeiro o próprio
cuidado e o elo consciente no sentido de promover a compreensão da
doença e do processo de morrer, podendo tornar o evento mais
controlável para o paciente e para os familiares. Trata-se de um estudo
descritiva sendo a metodologia baseada em levantamento de literatura e
revisão de artigos que descrevam o assunto proposto. Concluímos a partir
deste estudo literário que os profissionais de enfermagem e da saúde têm
dificuldades e se sentem despreparados em citações que envolvam o
processo de morte, pois desde a sua formação acadêmica se sentem
compromissados com a vida a e preservação da mesa e que os pacientes
em fase terminal necessitam de cuidados especiais e que na medida do
possível devem ser atendidas e que no profissional de enfermagem podem
encontrar apoio para enfrentar suas angustias, dificuldades, dores e medo.
