Abstract

RESUMO

 

A endarterectomia é uma opção de tratamento da aterosclerose que se caracteriza por uma doença difusa e degenerativa das artérias. O Anestesiologista participa na avaliação inicial, estabelece risco pré-operatório, reconhece e trata as alterações clínicas durante a cirurgia e ajuda na prevenção de complicações no pós-operatório. A TIVA (anestesia venosa total é uma técnica na qual é definida a concentração do fármaco (dose-alvo) em um determinado compartimento corporal (plasma) por um sistema de infusão, que associa um fármaco hipnótico e um opióide. Estudos demonstram que a TIVA proporciona estabilidade hemodinâmica, menores riscos de eventos isquêmicos proporcionando assim vantagens em relação a outras técnicas anestésicas.
