CONHECIMENTO SOBRE RISCOS OCUPACIONAIS PELA EXPOSIÇÃO A INSETICIDAS EM AGENTES COMUNITÁRIOS DE ENDEMIAS DE MUNICÍPIOS DO NOROESTE DO PARANÁ, BRASIL

Objetivo: Este estudo buscou identificar o conhecimento
dos agentes comunitários de endemias sobre os riscos ocupacionais
pela exposição a inseticidas bem como sobre o uso
correto de Equipamento Proteção Individual (EPIs). Em
dois Municípios da região Noroeste do Paraná, no ano de
2015.Métodos: Estudo transversal realizado com 52 agentes
comunitários de endemias que responderam a um roteiro
estruturado em dois blocos: um questionário sóciodemográfico
e um questionário relativo à utilização de inseticidas
organofosforado, uso de EPI’S e sobre o treinamento recebido
para o desenvolvimento do trabalho. Resultados: As
evidencias encontradas mostram que 63% dos agentes são
mulheres, que 21% dos entrevistados não receberam treinamento
da Secretária Municipal de Saúde e que também
não tem conhecimento sobre os riscos ocupacionais aos
quais estão expostos durante as campanhas de combate à
dengue. Evidenciou-se também que 54% dos agentes não
utilizam todos os EPI’s corretamente, e que 33% deles não
realizam exame de colinesterase sanguínea regularmente.
Conclusão: Os servidores, conforme as descrições de suas
atividades submetem-se ao risco de contaminação por inseticidas.
Portanto é necessário que se gere conhecimento
sobre a saúde ocupacional dessa categoria para a prevenção
de danos e promoção da saúde dessa classe trabalhadora.
