PESSOAS VIVENDO COM HIV/AIDS: INFLUÊNCIA DAS CRENÇAS NA QUALIDADE DE VIDA E ADESÃO AO TRATAMENTO

A adesão ao tratamento se destaca entre os maiores desafios
da atenção às pessoas vivendo com HIV/AIDS, uma vez que
demanda dos pacientes mudanças comportamentais devido
ao uso contínuo de medicamentos. Dentre os fatores que
podem afetar a adesão pode-se observar a presença de
crenças negativas e informações inadequadas sobre a enfermidade
e o tratamento. Verificou-se a relação entre os
aspectos Espirituais/Religião/Crenças pessoais e os domínios/
facetas de qualidade de vida e sua influência na adesão
ao tratamento, utilizando instrumento de Avaliação da
Qualidade de Vida - World Health Organization Quality of
Life Group (WHOQOL-120HIV) da Organização Mundial
de Saúde. De acordo com os resultados obtidos, as facetas
da qualidade de vida apresentaram significância estatística
indicando a prevalência à adesão medicamentosa ao fator
faixa etária, sendo que 56% dos pacientes que aderiram ao
tratamento medicamentoso estão na faixa de idade de 37 a
60 anos. Com base no conjunto de resultados discutidos
pode-se concluir que a religião/crença influência na qualidade
de vida em pessoas vivendo com HIV/AIDS, melhorando
de forma significativa o convívio do paciente com a
sociedade.
