O TRATAMENTO DA MORDIDA ABERTA ANTERIOR COM ESPORÃO
Abstract
O propósito deste estudo é descrever a mordida aberta
anterior, citando suas etiologias, complicações e tratamentos.
Ilustraremos um caso clínico envolvendo esta má oclusão
dentária, dando ênfase na escolha do esporão, um dispositivo
fixo, como opção de tratamento. Que neste caso foi
fixado à face palatina dos incisivos centrais superiores,
devido à postura alta da língua. Após 10 meses utilizando o
dispositivo, observou-se correção da oclusão e melhora no
aspecto facial do paciente.
