Etiologia de trauma e lesões faciais no atendimento pré-hospitalar no Rio de Janeiro

Nas ultimas décadas, devido ao crescimento populacional, ao aumento da
velocidade dos transportes e outros fatores relacionados, cresceu o numero de
atendimentos de trauma nos hospitais e serviços de emergência. O presente estudo
procurou informações sobre o atendimento pré-hospitalar dos pacientes com trauma de
face, visando relacionar a etiologia com aspectos socioeconômicos e o atendimento
hospitalar de referencia, nos anos de 2006 e 2007. Observou-se que cerca de 13% dos
traumas foram exclusivamente de face, e que os pacientes de sexo masculino estão em
proporção de 2.82:1 feminino. Notada ainda a grande proporção de atendimentos nos
hospitais de referencia. Conclui- se que o serviço de Bucomaxilofacial dos diversos
hospitais são de grande relevância necessitando sempre de incentivos governamentais
para bem servir à população.
