Efeitos do ultra-som terapêutico em edema traumático agudo em patas de ratos

Este trabalho tem como objetivo comparar e analisar os efeitos do ultrasom
terapêutico contínuo e pulsado sobre o edema traumático agudo em
patas de ratos. Foram utilizados 17 ratos Wistar, divididos em 3 grupos:
G1-ultra-som contínuo, 0,5 W/cm2; G2-ultra-som pulsado, 2,5 W/cm2-
SATP (0,5W/cm2-SATA); G3-controle. Inicialmente, o volume das patas
posteriores esquerdas foram avaliados e submetidas à lesão traumática.
Após 10 min., o volume foi novamente medido. Seguiram-se as
aplicações terapêuticas, sendo feitas reavaliações em 20 e 40 min. após a
lesão. Os resultados comparativos entre as avaliações e reavaliações
mostraram para G1 um aumento no edema em 23,26% (p=0,0001); G2 o
edema final apresentou ganho de 18,02% (p=0,0022); G3 ganho de
35,44% (p=0,0002). Conclui-se que o ultra-som não foi eficaz na
diminuição do edema traumático, porém desacelerou o desenvolvimento
deste.
