SENTIMENTOS E PERCEPÇÕES DE PESSOAS OSTOMIZADAS

Estudo descritivo, de natureza qualitativa, que teve como
objetivo desvelar os sentimentos suscitados após a ostomia.
Os sujeitos foram constituídos por sete pacientes ostomizados
residentes em um município do Noroeste do Paraná.
A coleta de dados deu-se no mês de agosto de 2015, por
meio de entrevistas. Dos depoimentos analisados emergiram
três categorias: “Compreendendo as mudanças na
vida do ser ostomizado”, “Vivenciando a ambivalência de
sentimentos do ser ostomizado” e “A confiança em Deus no
enfrentamento da doença”. Conclui-se que conhecer os
sentimentos das pessoas ostomizadas possibilita aos profissionais
de saúde e aos familiares cooperar com um tratamento
diferenciado e holístico, visando, assim, uma reabilitação
tranquila e colaborando para que estes pacientes
assumam o controle total sobre suas vidas.
