Abstract

Modern society has been experimenting in the last decades, especially in educational systems, the development of numerous discussions and research about teachers training. In this scenario of changes, we highlight the Institutional Program of Initiatives for Teaching – PIBID (Institutional Scholarship Program), which aims are promote the initial training of professionals. In this article we intend to analyze the relevance of PIBID, in the training Supervisors’ practice of Physical Education subproject at, Universidade Estadual Vale do Acaraú -UVA. This is a field of study with a qualitative approach of the case study type. The research universe was composed of four supervisors (PS) of Pibid/Physical Education/UVA. PS are public school teachers from the Sobral - Ce state education network, who are part of the collaborating schools groups and supervise ten scholarship students of Physical Education. For data collection a semi-structured interview was used with four discursive questions that served as genaration issue of the interview, and from these questins others could arise. The thematic analysis proposed by Minayo (2014) was used for the treatment of data obtained in the interview. The results showed that the training experiences, lived in the context of PIBID, allow the supervisors moments of training, research, interaction with the university, as well as the improvement of profession learning. Therefore, PIBID as a teaching initiation program strengthens the teaching practice of supervisors, promoting a reflection of developed practices, thus providing a continuous training process for this teacher who works in the program.
