PERFIL DAS MULHERES QUE SE SUBMETEM AO EXAME PAPANICOLAU NA ESTRATÉGIA SAÚDE DA FAMÍLIA

O exame Papanicolau é eficaz, de baixo custo e extremamente simples e sua eficiência contribui para reduzir drasticamente a incidência do câncer do colo uterino. O objetivo foi verificar o perfil das mulheres que se submetem ao exame Papanicolau, em uma equipe da Estratégia Saúde da Família na cidade de Montes Claros MG, no 1º semestre de 2017. Foi realizado um estudo descritivo de natureza quantitativa utilizando-se de roteiro estruturado para a coleta de dados e contou com a participação de 100 mulheres que foram entrevistadas após submeterem-se ao exame de Papanicolau. As mulheres que se submeteram ao exame são em maioria casadas, com idade entre 25 a 60 anos e 53% delas possuem o nível de escolaridade até o segundo grau completo. Destaca-se que mais de 75% das mulheres pesquisadas iniciaram a vida sexual precocemente, antes dos 25 de idade e 87% relataram vida sexual ativa, possuindo parceiros sexuais fixos. As Equipes de Saúde da Família têm um papel primordial na busca ativa destas mulheres, por atuarem mais próximos dos contextos familiares e coletivos, como da família e comunidade onde vivem. Além disso, a paciente, quando recebe informações sobre a doença, exame e a sua finalidade, sente-se mais segura e confortável para submeter-se a realização do procedimento, quebrando tabus, sentimentos de medo e ansiedade.
